Futura Poster

I used the typeface “Futura” to create a typographic poster about the information itself (creator, creation date, font family, and font descriptions) as the primary content of the poster. With the spotlight turned towards the typeface itself, I created different variables from placement to color to the chosen font all have to work together.

Typography is the art of arranging, designing, and modifying type to create beautiful and easy-to-read graphic art prints. Type affects the way a reader perceives the message of the subject. I used only the “Futura” font family variations to create breath-taking design. I brainstormed and collected all the information that was needed to include in the poster, I then created first two black and white posters proofs. Then I used the ideas of diagonal paragraphs and formatted the paragraph to look like a capital letter “F” to emphasize the typeface “Futura”. I highlighted certain areas with vivid colors for the creator’s name, the creation year, and the features of the typeface. The original size of the poster is 24×18 inches. Adobe Indesign application was used to finish the design.
